    To help achieve this ambition, we are looking to recruit a Chinese Speaking QA Tester to ensure localised (Chinese) game content and marketing is suitable for release, to enable us to launch and become established in the Chinese games market. The successful candidate will be fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) as well as English.

    Responsibilities

    • Test software to defined standards across all current Dovetail Games products
    • Identify and document bugs clearly, accurately and concisely in a bug database
    • Verify that bugs have been fixed and implemented correctly
    • Provide feedback to avoid repeated mistakes
    • Review Chinese (simplified) text, including in-game content and marketing material
    • Assess cultural appropriateness and check politically sensitive content
    • Provide small translation if required

    Person Specifications

    • Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English
    • Minimum Maths, English & ICT Standard grade, GCSE or equivalent
    • Understanding the role of Localisation QA in a software/games environment
    • Keen gamer with the ability to familiarise with gameplay elements rapidly
    • Excellent written communication skills
    • Strong organisational and time keeping skills
    • Good problem solving/analytical skills, strong attention to detail
    • Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial
    • Experience in Jira is beneficial
    • Experience in CAT tools is beneficial
    • Shows own initiative
